The streets of our city centre will be alive with nightlife throughout the Bank Holiday Weekend with many venues staging special events and even more offering special Prest Fest discounts to customers.
Ribble Steam Railway’s Friendly Engines
The Friendly Engines return to Preston’s steamiest attraction, the Ribble Steam Railway, for this Bank Holiday Weekend. Children and their families can enjoy a ride behind a smiley steam engine or a grumpy diesel train and join in lots of fun activities including free face painting. Entry is £6 for adults, £4.50 for children and under threes go free at the Chain Caul Road railway.
Haslam Park fun fair

Hide AdEnjoy kids rides and some traditional fun fair entertainments on Preston’s Haslam Park from Saturday throughout the Bank Holiday.
The fair arrives to set up on Friday before opening up to the public on Saturday morning and running through Sunday with a final day of fun on Bank Holiday Monday.
St Catherine’s Hospice - For the Love of Vintage
The hospice, in Lostock Lane, Lostock Hall, plays host to a Mecca for nostalgia fans tomorrow with their For the love of Vintage fair.
The event, a “unique shopping experience that aims to inject a little bit of retro into your weekend,” opens at 10pm with the last entry at 4pm and offers vintage clothing and accessories, furniture and home wares along with tea and cakes and a fabulous vintage fashion show. Entry is by donation.
Hutton Fete - Hutton Recreation Ground, Moor Lane
To enjoy a traditional May Day Fete, head for Hutton. The annual event is on Bank Holiday Monday from 1.30pm to 4.30pm with all the usual stalls and entertainments.
