Fame beckons for local talent
Say Two Productions are returning to their home town after touring Italy with the hit musical Fame, in preparation for performances at Preston’s Charter Theatre in November.
Touring Fame for over nine months, Say Two founder and artistic director Christine Appleby’s production received international acclaim, performing to audiences of more than 9,000 a day.

Hide AdNow, the production is returning to Lancashire and looking for home-grown talent who want to ‘live forever’.
Based on the Oscar-winning musical film and hugely successful TV series, Fame –The Musical will take audiences on a hi-octane roller coaster ride through dizzy heights and crashing lows as a group of star-struck wannabes embark on their quest for the ultimate accolade – fame.
Set at the world famous High School for Performing Arts in New York, young talented hopefuls undertake the journey of their lives. Ambition, triumph, heartbreak and romance conspire to steer them off course, and the pressure is too much for some.
But these kids are determined to live forever and Fame – The Musical is the feelgood sensation that audiences will never forget.

Hide AdIn the first round of auditions, the company is looking for dancers, actors and singers, and is holding open auditions from noon on Sunday, July 12, at Penwortham St Mary’s Centre in Cop Lane, Penwortham.
The musical will burst into the Charter Theatre at the Guild Hall on November 16 and 17.
