The band were one of Morrissey’s favourite groups before he formed The Smiths. Other fans include Franz Ferdinand, Iggy Pop and Graham Coxon.

Hide AdAfter debuting singles for the Rough Trade label, ‘He’s Frank’ ‘Eine Symphonie Des Grauens’ and ‘The Monochrome Set’, the band were snapped up by Virgin offshoot Dindisc to record debut studio album, ‘Strange Boutique’ in 1980. Memorable singles included ‘Cast a Long Shadow’ and ‘Jet Set Junta’ before they split in 1985.
