Shell out to visit Guys for the 23rd Oyster Festival
For three days, an orgy of eating, drinking and dancing are on the menu at Guys Thatched Hamlet in Preston in celebration of its 23rd annual Oyster Festival.
From September 4 to September 7 thousands of visitors will be getting their irish jig on in Owd Nell’s Tavern.

Hide AdThe event, which opens with a seafood lunchon, is set to dish up more than 6,000 oyesters to its guests accompanied with much more of their finest delicacies.
Live Irish music and dancing will be in full swing throughout the three nights with Murphy’s Law from Cork performing on Sunday at 7pm.
Seven thousand people are expected to attend the three -day festival which has raised in excess of a quarter of a million for good causes since it began.
Evening tickets are on sale for £15, including supper.
On the Sunday, alongside this celebration of all things Irish, stout and bivalve, there will be entertainment for all the family in the festival marquee from noon.

Hide AdThe fun and games includes live Irish music, a DJ, Punch & Judy Magic Show, Face Painting, a giant inflatable world, rides, birds of prey and a circus skills school.
Oysters, seafood and lots more will be available and the Festival Bar is open all day. Free entry.
