Feast of a play that is full of Eastern promise

This unusual production is set in the main character’s living room where Persian delicacies will be cooked – and served up – throughout the performance.

The play is described as a theatrical indulgence featuring a colourful feast of traditional song, food and dance.
Set in modern-day Tehran, this uplifting performance explores family life as an exciting mystery is unravelled.
Abbas is the central character, a loving father and a fantastic cook whose menu includes a serving pot of fresh herbs, sweet vegetables and spices – including a secret family ingredient.

Hide AdThe Iranian Feast is being brought to Lancashire by rural touring network of theatre Spot On.
Sue Robinson, from Spot On, said: “This play has all the key ingredients to create an outstanding show – great drama, lots of thrills and imaginative cooking! Abbas invites you personally into his front room to celebrate his treasured family life and share a small taste of Persian supper together.”
Performances take place at The Rainhall Centre, Barnoldswick, on Friday, November 8 at 7pm and at Clayton Brook Village Hall on Sunday, November 10 at 6pm.
