Play tells the tale of film pioneers who had us reeling in the years
The Life and Times of Mitchell & Kenyon, is at the theatre from Saturday April 19 to Saturday May 10.
Director Amy Leach (Sabbat) and film projection specialists Imitating The Dog combine theatre and film to tell this unique tale of the birth of modern cinema.

Hide AdThe story begins in Blackburn, 1995, and a dusty old shop where two workmen make a startling discovery – a treasure trove of film once thought lost to the ages.
Then to Blackburn, almost 100 years earlier, where Mitchell and Kenyon are making their first ‘factory-gate’ films, in so doing embarking on a filmmaking partnership that will change their lives forever.
Daragh Carville’s brand new play celebrates the life and times of Lancashire icons Mitchell & Kenyon.
Celebrate the spirit of the music hall in a show – an extravaganza - full of songs, laughter and the original films themselves.
