Lancaster is the scene of a festive themed mini-festival of the arts today.
Lancaster Arts City’s First Friday covers comedy, festive songs, visual arts, dance and poetry across several venues.
Events include a ‘Songs for Christmas’ workshop at Trinity URC Hall, Middle Street, from 2.30pm-6.30pm (free) and a ‘Songs for Christmas’ gig (7-8pm) at Friends Meeting House, which costs £5/£3 concs.

Hide AdFrom 8pm until late: there will be Drunken Nights III at the Wagon and Horses, St George’s Quay. A series of live acts inspired by the traditions of the Great British pub; from stand-up comedy and karaoke to pub quizzes, live music and dance floor shenanigans.
