Preston's own Monopoly game set to be a Christmas sell out
The Preston edition of the world's most famous board game hit the shops last month and has proven to be a popular lockdown gift for the festive season.
It has been announced today that the board game has sold "beyond expectations" and it is now on its third print run, after selling out of the first two and predicted to further sell out before Christmas.

Several leading Preston charities are also involved, including Age Concern Central Lancashire, St.Catherine’s Hospice, Dig In and PNECET.
And a quartet of Preston travel themed landmarks consist of the Guild Wheel, the Marina, Preston city centre railway station and the bus station.

"We were wonderfully spoilt for choice putting the game together and would like to thank everyone who sent in suggestions when we went through a public consultation process earlier this year.”
Age Concern Central Lancashire, which is dedicated to helping people live and age well across Lancashire, appears on its very own customised Community Chest card in the new game.
The charity features on a ‘get out of jail free’ card which reads: ‘You become a volunteer at Age Concern Central Lancashire. Get out of Jail Free.’

The charity, which marks its milestone 40th anniversary next year, recently scooped a prestigious award for its efforts during the first COVID-19 lockdown, being named as the BIBAs 2020 Business Hero.
