Schools' digital help to keep fit
Lostock Hall Primary and Lever House Primary in Leyland are the first in the area to sign up to an online PE platform helping children to master the fundamental movement skills.
Coaches from the organisers, Amaven, visited the schools to run separate assessment days testing pupils across a range of fitness components to help the schools to understand pupils individual fitness levels.

We can log in to our school’s portal and access pupil data at any time which makes it easy to measure and track progress for individual students, as well as separate classes or groups, and get a clear picture of where every child is at physically.”
Mike Porter, his counterpart at Lever House, said: “The coaches were professional and guided the pupils through the activities as well as training our teachers to confidently deliver the lesson plans on their own.
“Data from the assessment day clearly shows each pupil’s individual ability as well as demonstrating our school’s physical literacy score.”
