During the month of July, six nurseries and schools in Preston had Ofsted reports published online.
This included five primary schools and one nursery, across Preston, including Hutton, New Longton, Higher Walton and Samlesbury.
All of these establishments were classed as ‘good’, with one marking an improvement from a previous inspection and another receiving their first rating ever.

1. Samlesbury Church of England School
Report published July 4, following an inspection on May 5. Classed as 'Good'. Highlights: happy, friendly, and fun environment; spacious and attractive grounds; planned and balanced curriculum. Improvements needed: Some teachers don't have enough knowledge or experience to develop the curriculum and are not clear enough about the knowledge that pupils should learn.
