According to Government data, a total of 19,004 people have been admitted to hospital in the region since the pandemic began in March.
As of today (August 13), a total of 134 remain in hospital, including 23 on ventilation.

The latest available data show that the most recent admissions were on Monday (August 10) when two people were taken to hospitals in the North West for treatment.
Last week (commencing August 3), a total of 115 people were admitted to hospital in the region, with 41 patients in just one day on Friday, August 7.
But the biggest influx of patients came during the peak of the pandemic on April 8, when a record 477 people were taken to hospital in just 24 hours.

Hide AdThe latest figures suggest a dramatic reduction in the number of people being admitted to hospital, despite a reported spike in new cases in Lancashire and Greater Manchester in recent weeks.
But it's not all positive news - there are more people on ventilation in North West hospitals today (August 13) than there has been since July 10.
