CSI at scene of Kirkham murder investigation as 'unnerved' neighbours express shock at man's sudden death

The body of Lee Walker, 47, was found inside a bungalow in Chestnut Close, off Kirkgate, on Wednesday (April 8).
A 39-year-old woman, from Preston, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody this afternoon.

Hide AdCSI officers in white jumpsuits, gloves and face masks are at the scene and a forensic examination of the home is taking place to establish how Mr Walker died.
Outside the home, CSI can be seen bagging items and taking photographs of the scene, including a grey car parked on the street outside.
Officers have been stationed outside the home since yesterday evening and part of Kirkgate remains cordoned off whilst the investigation continues.
Detectives are currently describing his death as 'sudden' and 'unexplained', leading to concern among residents in the quiet, residential street.

Hide Ad"I live close-by and it's very unnerving," said Michelle Robinson.
"It's very, very sad," added Caroline Byrne.
"I believe that there has been a police presence there since last night. Poor man."
"It's awful and so sad, " said another neighbour.
"We've heard all kinds of things about what is supposed to have happened. It's just so sad."
Some of those who knew Mr Walker have also expressed shock at his sudden death.
"Condolences to his family, a wonderful lad, spoke to him many of times. RIP Lee." said Chrissy Dawes.
