Driver had drinks with friends and then got behind the wheel
Peter Mulllington, unemployed, aged 61, of Holly Grove, Skitham Lane, Pilling, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £120 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £30 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Hide AdProsecutor, Malcolm Isherwood, said on June 1 at 3.10pm police stopped Mullington’s Ford Ka on Preston New Road on the suspicion the vehicle had no insurance.
Officers could smell drink on him and a breath test showed 54 micrograms of alcohol in his body -35 is the limit.
Brett Chappell, defending, said his client was of previous unblemished character and embarrassed to be appearing at court. He had had drinks with a friend but felt fit and able to drive.
