Of the nine incidents flagged up on Lancashire Road Police’s social media account this week, seven have involved positive roadside drug tests or possession of drugs.
Other incidents have focused on drivers without insurance and without a licence.

1. Resisted arrest
Two members of the public helped officers after the driver of this Transit van resisted arrest.
He had been stopped in Water Street, Preston, after police noticed the windscreen was cracked in the top corner. The driver failed a roadside test for cannabis. Photo: Lancs Police
2. Cannabis
This BMW M4 attracted the attention of police patrols in London Road, Preston. They issued a £200 fine and six penalty points as well as arresting the driver as he failed a roadside test for cannabis. Photo: Lancs Police
3. Drugs in Ribbleton
This motorbike was involved in numerous pursuits and drug-related criminality in the Ribbleton area of Preston.
On July 3, it was pursued and recovered.

4. Stolen Audi
This stolen Audi from Greater Manchester was picked up entering Blackpool and boxed in. The driver admitted to having no licence or insurance but said he had bought the vehicle.
Things went downhill for the driver as they then tested positive for cannabis and a further 1kilo of the drug was found in the car.
