Child was headbutted
A man who headbutted a child and assaulted a woman has been jailed for six months by Preston Magistrates’ Court.
Matthew Parkinson, 23, of Thirlmere Avenue, Padiham, had denied the charges but was found guilty of three assaults and criminal damage after a trial.

The bench also imposed two restraining orders to protect the victims.
PRESTON: Paul Richardson, 35, of St John Green, Leyland, admits stealing a car, driving it without insurance and failing to give a breath test.
Preston magistrates banned him from driving for 12 months and ruled he must have alcohol treatment.

PRESTON: A man has admitted harassing a woman by attending her home after previously having a restraining order against him.
John Cook, 44, of Latham Street, Preston,was given a rehabilitation activity and a new restraining order and must also pay an £85 surcharge and £150 costs.
PRESTON: Krzysztof Olejenik, 31, of Herrol Road, Preston, was found guilty of assaulting a woman and has been ordered to do 80 hours of unpaid work by magistrates.
He must pay an £85 surcharge and £620 costs.

Hide AdPRESTON: A woman who allowed herself to be carried in a stolen car in Preston was given 26 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months.
Beverley Mellor, 43, of Coppin Hall Grove, Dewsbury, admitted the offence to magistrates.
She was given a rehabilitation requirement and must pay a £115 surcharge and £85 costs.
CHORLEY: A man who breached a restraining order against a woman will be sentenced before Preston Crown Court on August 16.

Hide AdDean Taylor, 42, of Railway Street, Chorley, admits attending the woman’s home on July 9 and 10 when prohibited.
Magistrates committed the case.
PRESTON: Marvin Lee Topping, 35, of Waverley Gardens, Preston, was bound over for six months by Preston magistrates in the sum of £50 after admitting beaching the peace on July 10.
Mark Bentley, 52, of Woodplumpton Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, was banned for 12 months after admitting driving while disqualified and without insurance and must pay an £85 surcharge and £85 costs.
Ciaran Anthony Mullen, 20, of Great Park Drive, Leyland, was discharged for 12 months after admitting smashing a window and wing mirror and must pay £200 compensation, a £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Charlie Brooks, 25, of Albyn Bank Road, Preston, was found guilty of failing to pay his rail fare and must pay a £440 fine, £44 surcharge, £5.20 compensation, and £150 costs.
Garry Glynn, 49, of Kennard Place, Altrincham, admits committing a fraud by lying he had bought an electric blanket to claim a £25 refund and must do 50 hours unpaid work and pay a £60 surcharge and £50 costs.
