Leyland Leisure Centre to be spruced up ahead of April reopening
The leisure centre in Lancastergate is being spruced up this week as South Ribble Borough Council prepare to welcome back gym goers when lockdown restrictions are lifted in three weeks' time.
The car park will be closed from Monday evening to Wednesday (March 24), whilst work takes place.

The authority said the works are "just the start to an extensive refurbishment programme" planned for the next 12 to 18 months, after the Council decided to take its leisure services back in-house.
It brings to an end the Council's outsourcing arrangement with Serco which had operated the borough's gyms - via South Ribble Community Leisure Trust – for the last 16 years.
"All our centres are getting deep cleaned and will be fitted with new signage. Repainting is taking place internally and minor maintenance work is being undertaken.

"At Leyland Leisure centre specifically, landscaping works will be also be done and parking space lines at the facility will be repainted.
"In order for this to happen, the car park will be closed from the evening of Monday, March 22 until Wednesday, March 24 – with the works taking place on Tuesday, March 23.
"I’m looking forward to the prospect of our centres re-opening on April 12 and cannot wait to see members once again enjoying our facilities."
