New vision for derelict homes site
The block of 100 single-person flats in Hill Road South was flattened after falling into disrepair and becoming a hot-spot for anti-social behaviour.
A year ago it was announced the Homes and Communities Agency had bought the site and wanted to build up to 60 homes, but last month it was sold to Galliford Try Partnerships, who have launched plans for 61 homes.

Hide AdThe developer is aiming at providing new and affordable homes for those first stepping onto the property ladder.
Fifty per cent of the proposed new homes would be available on the open market and would include a mix of three and four bedroom semi and detached family homes.
The remainder would be sold through the ‘Starter Homes Initiative’, and will include a combination of two bedroom apartments and two-bedroom houses.
