She said: “I wanted to encapsulate the ‘feel good’ factor there seems to be about the town in recent years.
“As a business person I have attended many of the ‘Choose Chorley’ events and have been impressed by the way the council are working to make life better forbusinesses and residents.
“I want visitors to see a positive view of the town, the landmarks and the countryside we enjoy.

Councilor Peter Wilson, who oversees resources at Chorley Council, added: “The painting looks great in the reception of the town hall and provides a warm welcome to visitors. As part of our ‘check out Chorley’ campaign, we’re really keen to promote Chorley’s attractions and this painting helps to do just that.”
Jackie is now working on a follow-up Chorley winter scene.
Jackie renewed her enthusiasm for painting by joining Lodge Artists, a local art group, four years ago and has helped them since then with
their publicity, with a website and advertising for their various exhibitions.
