and live on Freeview channel 276
Those taking a summer stroll in Hesketh Bank might have thought the sun had gone to their heads when they bumped into the 2.5ft marsupial casually bouncing his way through town yesterday (Monday, July 18).
Like a scene out of the Australian Outback, the wallaby appeared right at home in the record-breaking British summer heat, as he happily bounded past stunned residents and passing traffic.

The wandering wallaby escaped from his enclosure at a nearby petting zoo where families can meet him and his family, as well as emus, a skunk and other exotic animals.
Owner Joe Hilton – who runs Jolly’s Zoo in Hesketh Bank - said the cheeky chappie was captured and safely returned to his enclosure.
Wallaby’s appear to be quite the escape artists – another was reportedly spotted 8 miles away outside Windmill Animal Farm in Burscough after it allegedly broke loose yesterday (Monday, July 18).
