PICTURE GALLERY: Pouring rain at Blackpool Pride
Thousands of people descended on Blackpool town centre for the event, which saw businesses fly rainbow-coloured flags in celebration of the town’s tolerance and diversity, over the weekend.
A parade full of decorated floats and colourful costumes snaked down the Prom on Saturday morning, before heading through the town centre to the Winter Gardens.

Hide AdIt was there gay icon and Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson hosted events on the main stage.
Jo O’Meara and Bradley McIntosh from S Club 7 also made appearances, while there were also women’s, youth and family, and transexual events.
An outside stage was also hosted in St John’s Square, while venues Ma Kelly’s, Viva Blackpool, The Galleon Bar, Walkabout, R-Bar, Kings, and Pepes, all supported the event, which came to an end yesterday evening.
Blackpool South MP Gordon Marsden was among those who attended, alongside Blackpool mayor, Coun Kath Rowson, who said she was ‘honoured’ to official open this year’s event.
