Police appeal after vicious attack on 24-year-old
The man was taken to Chorley Hospital for treatment for a broken nose and chipped shoulder bone.
Police said they received reports of an assault in the Flat Iron car park in Union Street at around 4.10am.

Officers believe the victim was walking with friends towards McDonalds when they were approached by a group of six men near the car park.
The group started to verbally abuse the victim before one of the men punched him on the nose and threw him to the ground.
The men then ran off towards Bolton Road.
No descriptions are available for the offenders.
Police would like to speak to anyone with information, including customers at McDonalds in Chorley.

Hide AdPC Andy Gill, of Chorley Police, said: “The victim has been on a night out with friends which has ended with him requiring hospital treatment following a nasty assault.
“The injuries inflicted on the victim were the result of a vicious attack and we are keen to find those responsible.
“We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, as well as anyone in McDonalds on Clifford Street around the time of the assault.”
The incident happened on April 16.
