Six fire crews tackle workshop blaze near Charnock Richard Crematorium

At around 4am, crews responded to the fire at a lawn mower repair workshop, off Preston Road, opposite Charnock Richard Crematorium.
Six fire engines attended the scene with one fire engine pumping water from the fishing lakes off German Lane to the scene.

Hide AdPolice closed Preston Road, between Church Lane and Back Lane, whilst firefighters from Chorley, Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Penwortham and Skelmersdale fought the blaze.
At 6.37am, the fire had been mostly extinguished, with crews using one hose reel and one jet, as well as the stinger, to bring the fire under control.
No casualties have been reported at the site, which is described as "at a large commercial workshop outbuilding", approximately 20x40m in size
As of 8.25am, the stinger from Skelmersdale and the Command Unit remained at the scene to continue damping down and search for hotspots.

Hide AdUPDATE: Fire crews were stood down at around 10am and have now left the scene.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said investigations into the cause of the fire are now underway.
Posting on Twitter earlier in the morning, a fire service spokesman said: "We are currently dealing with this incident, leading to a road closure on the A49 Preston Road, Charnock Richard, between Church Lane and Back Lane. Please use an alternative route."
A police spokesman added: "Please be aware that A49 Preston Road at Charnock Richard between Church Lane and Back Lane is currently closed.
"This is due to a substantial farm building fire located nearby."
