Hide AdRobin, 60, of Leyland, made his application, which was granted, because he wanted to give something back for treatment partner Vivian Robinson, 70, has been receiving at Rosemere Cancer Centre since last July, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Vivian, who is retired, successfully overcame the disease 21 years ago following surgery and is again responding well to treatment.
Robin and Vivian are both members of St John’s C of E Church, Leyland, where they help run the children’s messy church and Vivian also organises crafts.
Cathy Skidmore, Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s trust and corporate fund-raising manager, said: “We are extremely grateful to Robin for obtaining this donation for us. It is the second TK Maxx donation we have received this year as a member of staff at the store’s city centre outlet applied for a £2,500 donation on our behalf back in January. We would like to thank TK Maxx for its support.”
