Preston teenager taken to hospital after vehicle mounts pavement and collides with parked car in Higher Walton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old man was injured following a collision in Higher Walton.
Police were called to reports of an accident on Kittlingbourne Brow at around 1.10pm yesterday (February 18).

Hide AdA Vauxhall Corsa had mounted the footpath before colliding with a stationary Jaguar car, which then collided with a stationary Peugeot 108.
Sgt Craig Booth, of Lancashire Police’s Tactical Operations, said: “We are keen to speak to any witnesses following a serious injury collision in Higher Walton.
“We would urge anyone with information about what happened to come forward.”
The driver of the Vauxhall, a 17-year-old boy from Preston, was not injured.

Hide AdA 19-year-old man from who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered a fractured pelvis.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
A third man, believed to be another passenger in the Vauxhall, made off from the scene before police arrived.
The road was closed for five hours while accident investigators attended the scene.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 1.03pm. We attended with an air ambulance, three rapid response vehicles and a land ambulance.

Hide Ad"We treated a male patient in his late teens and he was taken to hospital via land ambulance.
"He's got a leg injury. It's not thought to be life threatening."
