UPDATED: Armed officer drew weapon after stabbing at Chester's takeaway in Chorley
Another officer also drew a taser in the fracas at fast food chicken restaurant Chester’s, on Pall Mall, on Friday night.
Neither weapon was fired, police said.
Police in the area witnessed a ‘disturbance’ at the takeaway at around 6pm and when they went inside found a man with ‘serious injuries’ after being stabbed.

Hide AdThey called for backup and witnesses reported a heavy police presence in the area.
A man was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said on Friday night: "Police officers parked nearby saw a disturbance and when they went into the takeaway they found a man suffering from stab wounds.
"He has been taken to the Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries. They are not thought to be life threatening at this time.

Hide Ad"A second man from Chorley, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody.
“The officers who responded were from the armed response unit. One of these officers drew a sidearm and the other a taser. Neither weapon was fired.”
An investigation is on-going and police had cordoned off the takeaway on Friday.
A nearby resident said she saw one person with a bandage around their head and around five police cars were at the scene.
Officers took vehicles from the scene and the air ambulance landed nearby, she added.
