Wheely good fun at Preston PedalFest
Avenham Park hosted PedalFest on Sunday, with cycling routes of either 101km or 59km beginning in the park.
There was also a four-mile Sky Ride Local along the River Ribble. The cycling challenges were held alongside a family festival in Avenham and Miller Parks.

Hide AdVisitors were able to try their hand at circus skills, children could learn to ride with balance bikes, and families were able to make smoothies with pedal power or scale the heights of a climbing wall.
Coun Peter Kelly, cabinet member for culture and leisure services said :“It was great to see so many people from Preston – of all ages and abilities – show up to Avenham and Miller Parks to participate in Pedalfest’s sportive and family festival. The Sports Development team did a fantastic job, and Prestonians once again proved that a little rain won’t stop them from having fun!”
