Troy Parrott got his first goal for the club as he opened the scoring, with Ali McCann adding two more and Brad Potts finishing off the scoring for Ryan Lowe’s side.
Jordan Rhodes got a goal back for the Terriers though it proved to be only a consolation.
Here’s how we rated the PNE players on the night...
1. Freddie Woodman - 6
Had little to do over the piece and was left on his own for the one on one that saw Jordan Rhodes score. Made some routine saves from range with strong hands. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
2. Jordan Storey - 7
Strong again from Storey as PNE went a lot of the game untroubled. When the Terriers began to get in the game he was in place to make some important blocks. Photo: CameraSport - Stephen White
3. Patrick Bauer - 7
Did not look off the pace stepping into the centre of defence. Gave the Huddersfield forwards nothing to go off, particularly in the first hour. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
4. Greg Cunningham - 7
Like Bauer, did not look like someone with no minutes so far. A little at fault for the goal playing Rhodes onside but made some important tackles and kept the ball moving well. Photo: CameraSport - Alex Dodd
